Dubai Welcomes Celebrity Wine Country Chefs
Chef Jason Parsons Featured at Canadian Culinary Celebration
Executive Chef Jason Parsons and Sous Chef Maurice Desharnais of Peller Estates Winery Restaurant are packing their bags for a week-long trip to Dubai. The Canadian chefs have been exclusively invited by Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel in Dubai to lead their month long Canadian Culinary festival.
With a mandate to develop a uniquely Canadian menu, Chefs Parsons and Desharnais will travel with a well-stocked pantry within their carry-on baggage. Anticipating that indigenous ingredients would be hard to come by, the dynamic Chef duo will be bringing along such Canadian delicacies as spruce tips, Nanny Noir Cheese, and pure maple syrup, as well as a few bottles of Peller Estates award winning Icewine. As the featured Chef of the celebration, Chef Parsons will be responsible for the preparation of the Canadian menus and the execution of a Culinary Demonstration and a Gala Dinner for one hundred guests which will be the highlight of the promotion. They hope to find some time away from the kitchen to visit Dubai’s famous landmarks including the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, take a Desert Safari and visit traditional Souks for jewelry shopping.
As guests of the Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel, Chef Parsons and Desharnais are excited to raise the profile of Canadian wine and cuisine amongst Dubai’s residents and visitors. “What an honour to be selected to represent Canada and its cuisine for this celebration at one of the world’s great destinations. The menu that I have created is a snapshot of the abundance and quality of the fine cuisine and exceptional wines that we feature daily at Peller Estates.” states Chef Parsons.
Peller Estates wines are sold in 24 countries around the globe in specialty wine shops and the world’s most celebrated restaurants.
