The estate was created in 1809, is family owned and operated for more than seven generations. Today Cyril Gautheron, supported by his wife Agnès, is making one of the appellation's finest wines.
Cyril Gautheron focusses on the expression of terroir to make graceful wines which respect the crisp and traditional characteristics of Chablis. From the classic Chablis and crystal-cut Premier Cru to the bold Grand Cru wines, the Domaine is highly recognized among international wine trade. Cyril's wines can be found in some of the world's best restaurants and bars: Hakkasan in London, Gordon Ramsay’s Le Pressoir d’Argent in Bordeaux, The Beef Club in Paris, just to name a few.
Tasting notes:
Very beautiful pale gold color with soft green reflections. The nose is delicious, pure, floral and fresh.
It first favors flowers, then notes of peaches and apricots, and finally pleasant minerality.
The palate is delicate and balanced. It combines maturity, elegance and freshness, supported in the end by a mineral touch.
Food pairing:
Very food-friendly. Suggest pairing with seafood, grilled chicken, hard cheese or drink by itself
