| 89 points, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Quinta Apolonia is a Verdejo produced within the limits of Rueda, but it’s sold as Vino de la Tierra de Castilla y Leon. It’s a wine that was born as a second wine for Belondrade y Lurton in the Bordeaux way, using the wine that was not considered good enough for the grand vin. Today, it’s produced with the fruit from the younger vines (averaging ten years of age) and is a mixture of inox and barrel-fermented wines. It’s younger and fresher than the Belondrade y Lurton, but with a similar profile, more fruit-driven and less influenced by the oak-aging with subtle notes of sesame seeds, smoke and stronger aromatics that remind me of apples, peach and fennel. The palate is quite powerful and balanced, with good acidity as well as a clean and persistent personality." (Luis Gutierrez)

Jancis Robinson.com: "Partial fermentation in oak. It has a superb fruit and citric expression, less herbaceous and grassy than standard Verdejo. Clean, pure nose showing peach and grapefruit aromas. Rounded fruit and fluid palate. Very long and delicate, superior Verdejo." (Ferran Centelles) (1-June-2016)
