| 91 points, James Suckling: "A ripe red with dark berries, bark, coffee bean and spice aromas that follow through to a full body, soft and velvety tannins and a juicy, fruity finish. Pretty black pepper and spice aftertaste to the fruit. A yummy red for drinking now." August 2014
90 points, Wine Advocate: "Complex bouquet of dried flowers, raspberries, blueberries and sweet vanilla. The palate is medium-bodied, with great acidity and freshness, pure, focused flavors and great length. Superb for the price. Bravo!" April 2014
89 points, Wine Spectator: "Dark and pure, delivering bright black raspberry, cherry coulis, fine spice and cherry pit notes. Racy, with a floral-accented aftertaste. Drink now." October 2013
Winemaker's Comment: A deep violet color, the wine opens with an arresting nose of ripe blackberries and succulent plum. The palate is fresh and smooth, showcasing a purity of fruit with refined flavors of raspberry, currant and savory spice, and a finish that is supple and persistent in length. This wine pairs well with a variety of heavier fare and will offer a daily respite for lovers of Cabernet Sauvignon and other full-bodied red wines.
