Celebrate Canada Day 2016

by Heidi Chan

The Canadian community got together yesterday to celebrate the nation's birthday. The ceremony was inaugurated with the singing of national anthem led by a 8-year-old young talent Celine Tam, and followed by the officiating speech of Consul-General Mr. Ian Burchett and guest from the Hong Kong SAR government Mr. Rimsky Yuen. The Secretary for Justice was particularly 'tasked' with sharing a comment made by a friend - who apparently is a fan of Canadian wines, with the attendees:

"Canadian wines are some of the best quality wines in the world I've ever tried, hopefully there will be more wines from Canada available in restaurants for consumers to try out more varietals!"  Glad to hear!

Cuvees is delighted to have worked with the Consulate General of Canada to deliver Canada Day celebrations again this year.
